What it is

Order from file chaos, safely.

Project folders grow into mixtures of code, documents, media and exports. Repository Builder classifies them, shows you the plan, and builds a clean structure you can hand off, archive or version, with proof of what was copied.

It is built for developers, studios, consultants and teams who package project folders for delivery, archiving or source control. Everything runs on your PC, with no account and no cloud service, and it can be automated from IGX Node Base with your approval.

Features

What you can do with it

Preview every file before you build

Pick a source folder and see where every file will go, classified into Code, Documents, Images, Audio, Video, Data, Archives, Design and Config, before anything is written.

Preview of a planned repository showing each file's category and destination

Atomic builds, verified with SHA-256

Builds are staged in an isolated folder and promoted only when complete, so a repository is never left half-built. Every file gets a SHA-256 checksum, a manifest and a Markdown build report.

Completed build with file counts, checksums verified and output paths

Advanced mode

Full mapping, collision policies, duplicate handling, optional ZIP output and optional local Git initialization with an initial commit.

Nothing existing is replaced

Existing folders and archives are never deleted or overwritten; a name that is taken is written as “name (2)”. Unreadable folders, files and links are reported, never silently skipped.

Build history listing completed, failed and cancelled builds

Repository library and history

Every repository you build is listed in one library, with a complete build history.

Local connector for IGX Node Base

An optional connector on your own computer (127.0.0.1) lets IGX Node Base request builds. Every request needs an access token and your approval in the app; Deny is the default.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does IGX Repository Builder do?

It turns messy local folders into clean, categorized repositories. You preview where every file will go, then build a new repository folder or ZIP with SHA-256 checksums, a manifest and a build report.

Can it change or delete my existing files?

No. It reads your source folder and writes a new repository. Existing folders and archives at the destination are never deleted or replaced; a name that is taken is written as “name (2)”. Builds are staged and promoted only when complete.

Does it send my files anywhere?

No. It runs on your PC, makes no outbound connections, and has no analytics or telemetry. The optional connector listens only on your own computer and needs your approval for every request. See the privacy policy.

What is the IGX Node Base connector?

IGX Node Base can ask Repository Builder to plan or build a repository through a local connector on 127.0.0.1. Each request needs the access token and your approval in Repository Builder, with Deny as the default.

Do I need Git?

Only if you turn on the optional local Git initialization. Repository Builder then uses the Git already installed on your PC to create a repository and an initial commit.

Will it run on my PC?

It needs 64-bit Windows 10 version 1809 or later. It has been tested on Windows 10, including a clean offline installation; Windows 11 has not been tested yet.

How is it licensed?

$49.99 USD, one time, for a perpetual license. There is no subscription. It is sold through the Microsoft Store as “InGestX Pro Repository Builder” and licensed under its End-User License Agreement.

How do I get support?
